ETA QUALITY MARK ON OUR SCREWS
Our screws have received an ETA seal of approval. This does not make them better than they already were, we have now confirmed the quality of our range of screws with this seal on all our own screw ranges.
ETA QUALITY MARK ON OUR SCREWS
Our screws have received an ETA seal of approval. This does not make them better than they already were, we have now confirmed the quality of our range of screws with this seal on all our own screw ranges.
This European Technical Assessment (ETA) provides an independent procedure for assessing the essential performance characteristics of non-standard construction products. In it, it offers manufacturers a voluntary route to mandatory CE marking. Actually meant for products when not or not fully covered by a harmonized standard (hEN) under the Construction Products Regulation (EU) 305/2011.
In short; the CE marking. For screws this is usually not required, but the ETA procedure is becoming more common in Europe. This is mainly due to the demand from (in particular) the German market for more extensive declarations of performance and calculation values for calculating technical constructions with screws. ETA is thus an additional declaration of performance to the mandatory European CE marking.
As a true screw specialist, we develop our screws ourselves here in the Netherlands. But we produce them at various factories in the Far East. Many different screws have been added in recent years: our Dynaplus screws are our flagship in terms of quality, while our Hoenderdaal chipboard screws in the 'brown box' offer an excellent professional quality screw at a competitive price. Between these, many different screw lines and designs have been added in recent years.
We have now presented all these screws to a European testing institute that has measured and tested the properties and quality values and recorded them according to the ETA standard. Every year they carry out physical checks at the factories where our screws are made, take samples and verify values initially tested and declared by us. This makes the ETA mark an additional complement to the CE mark.
Our ETA publication can be found on the website of European Organization for Technical Assessment (EOTA) under number 23/0569 -> ETAssessment 23/0569 | EOTA In the near future, we will add the ETA mark to our labels, making this seal visible on the packaging.
